TEA Party in Space
President, TEA Party in Space
(Hawthorne CA) — TEA Party in Space (TPIS), a non-partisan organization, congratulates the Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) and NASA for a beautiful night time launch and successful start to the COTS 2+ mission. The launch marks a promising beginning to this final, challenging demonstration mission for SpaceX.
Everyone agrees that the Commercial Crew program will be the next program that develops the vehicles that will carry American astronauts into space. Congressmen have stated it at hearings to which senior NASA officials have agreed. So if congress agrees our commercial crew program will get us to low earth orbit sooner and NASA agrees that commercial crew will get us to low earth orbit sooner, why is this program woefully underfunded? Worse, why is NASA giving the Russia $1.5 billion dollars for human space flight operations over the next five years?
